Description

Panasonic Bread Maker (35 Menus) | SD-PT1002

Up to 35 baking programmes, and top-notch soft bread texture at home. The SD-PT1002 is Panasonic’s fullest bread maker: an inverter motor that varies kneading speed to imitate hand-kneaded dough, a heat reflex mirror pan with far-infrared fluorine coating for even baking, and separate automatic dispensers for yeast and for raisins or nuts.

Beyond bread there is pizza and dumpling dough, udon and pasta, scones, cake, jam, compote, mochi — and a meat floss programme that turns leftover boiled pork into homemade floss.

Please note before ordering:

  • The control panel is in Traditional Chinese. The user manual is supplied in English and Traditional Chinese.

Product Features:

  • 35 Preset Menus — From basic loaves and brioche to pizza dough, mochi, jam and meat floss — the widest programme range in the range.
  • Inverter Motor — Unlike the fixed-speed motors in most bread makers, the inverter varies kneading speed to suit each bread type, imitating hand-kneaded dough.
  • Heat Reflex Mirror & Far-Infrared Inner Pan — A fluorine-coated pan with a reflective interior spreads heat more evenly, giving a better crumb and crust.
  • Meat Floss Menu — Turn leftover boiled pork from soup into homemade meat floss — a programme you will not find on other machines.
  • Automatic Yeast Dispenser — Yeast is held separately and released at the right moment, which is the single biggest factor in an even rise.
  • Raisin & Nut Dispenser — Adds up to 100g of fruit or nuts automatically at the correct stage, so they stay whole.
  • Natural Yeast Programme — Cultivate and bake with your own natural yeast starter.
  • Temperature Sensor — Adjusts fermentation to suit the temperature of your kitchen, summer or winter.
  • 3-Level Crust Control — Choose dark, standard or light.
  • Timer Function — Load it before bed and wake up to a freshly baked loaf.
  • Made in China — Built to Panasonic’s global quality standards.

All 35 Programmes:

  • 19 Bread Menus — Basic, Pain de mie, Brioche, Natural yeast, Soft, Rapid, Rice, French, Whole wheat, Pineapple, Rice flour, Yudane pain de mie, Chiffon pain de mie, 60 minutes bread, French rice bread, Hokkaido bread, Marble bread, Half bread, Red bean bread

The model shown in the video is the Japan version, with the same functions as the SD-PT1002.

Upgraded Inverter Motor

An inverter motor differs from the fixed-speed motor used by general bread makers. The inverter controls kneading speed according to the type of bread being made, imitating handmade dough.

Product Care

Care Instructions:

  • Remove the bread pan and blade after each use and wash in warm soapy water. Do not put them in a dishwasher.
  • Handle the fluorine-coated pan gently — avoid metal utensils, scourers and abrasive cleaners, which damage the coating.
  • Wipe the yeast and raisin/nut dispensers clean and dry them fully before the next bake; damp residue causes them to stick.
  • Keep the separate blades together and check each turns freely before use.
  • Let the unit cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse the main body in water.
  • Store with the lid closed in a dry place, away from direct heat.
FAQ
Will this work on UK mains electricity?

Yes. This is the 220V UK plug version — it runs on 220–240V, 50/60Hz and is supplied with a 3-pin plug. No adaptor or voltage converter is needed.

What language is the control panel in?

The control panel is in Traditional Chinese. The supplied user manual is in both English and Traditional Chinese, so the menu numbers and functions are fully documented in English. Programmes are selected by number, so day-to-day use does not require reading Chinese.

How long does delivery take?

This item is dispatched and delivered within 14 days.

What does the inverter motor actually do?

Most bread makers use a fixed-speed motor. The inverter varies the kneading speed to suit each type of dough, which imitates the changing rhythm of hand-kneading and gives a better developed gluten structure — noticeably softer bread.

What is the meat floss menu?

Menu 35 turns leftover boiled pork — the kind left over from making soup — into homemade meat floss. You tear the cooled pork into roughly 1cm pieces, dry it in the fridge overnight, then fit the meat floss blade and run the programme. Other ingredients such as seaweed can be added.

Can I wake up to freshly baked bread?

Yes. Load the ingredients before bed and set the timer. The built-in temperature sensor adjusts fermentation to your kitchen temperature, so results stay consistent through summer and winter.

How large a loaf does it bake?

The bread pan holds approximately 1 lb, using up to 300g of flour — a standard household loaf.
