Hot Water at Home: Dispenser, Kettle or Travel Pot?
Whether you want filtered hot water on tap, a precise pour for coffee, or a compact pot you can take abroad, here's how our hot water range compares.
Not sure which dispenser to choose? Read our Best Instant Hot Water Dispenser UK buying guide.
1. Choose by how you use hot water
- Instant hot water dispenser — near-boiling water in seconds, cup by cup. Ideal for tea, coffee and baby bottles without boiling a full kettle.
- RO water dispenser — filters tap water by reverse osmosis, then dispenses hot, cold and, on some models, iced water at one touch.
- Design kettle — for when you want control over the pour. BALMUDA The Pot (0.6L, 1200W) has a spout shaped for easy pouring, sized for about three cups of coffee. Vitantonio ACTY II (800ml) has four temperature presets — 80°C, 83°C, 90°C and 100°C — for pour-over coffee and tea. Browse all kettles →
- Travel pot — BRUNO Multi Travel Pot BAK810 (900ml, foldable) and Digital Travel Pot BAK816 (500–800ml, boil, cook and timer) are dual voltage (100–120V / 220–240V), so they work at home and abroad. BRUNO travel appliances guide →
2. Dispenser or kettle?
Choose a dispenser if you make hot drinks throughout the day, or want filtered and chilled water as well. Choose a kettle if you boil small amounts at a time and care about pouring speed and temperature, especially for pour-over coffee. For a large volume kept hot all day, a thermo pot may suit you better. Browse thermo pots →
3. Filters, parts and accessories
We stock replacement filter cartridges for our RO dispensers, a replacement water tank for the BRUNO Instant Hot Water Dispenser, and accessories for the BRUNO travel pots, including a steaming rack and power cords for Japan, North America and Europe.
A dispenser heats water on demand, cup by cup, and RO models also filter and chill it. A kettle boils a set amount at a time and gives you more control over the pour, which suits pour-over coffee and tea.
The Vitantonio ACTY II Barista Drip Kettle is designed for pour-over, with four temperature presets (80°C, 83°C, 90°C and 100°C). The BALMUDA The Pot has a spout shaped for easy, controlled pouring and holds 0.6L, enough for about three cups.
Yes. Both the Multi Travel Pot BAK810 and Digital Travel Pot BAK816 are dual voltage (100–120V / 220–240V). Set the voltage switch on the base to match the country, and use a power cord with the right plug. We sell cords for Japan, North America and Europe separately.
