Rich little chocolate fondants with a warm, molten centre — baked in the BRUNO Compact Glass Air Fryer for an easy restaurant-style dessert. A hidden square of chocolate in the middle melts into a gooey pool.
Ingredients
- 100g milk chocolate (for the batter)
- 60g unsalted butter
- 2 eggs
- 30g caster sugar
- 20g plain flour
- 35g milk chocolate (for the centres)
- Icing sugar, to dust
Method
- Bring the eggs and butter to room temperature. Break the batter chocolate into small pieces and sift the flour. Melt the batter chocolate and butter together over a bain-marie.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar, then combine with the melted chocolate. Fold in the flour until smooth with no dry streaks.
- Fill the moulds to about 70%, press a piece of chocolate into the centre of each, then place in the glass basket and set into the unit.
- Select the “Sweets” menu (155°C / 20 min) and press start.
- When baked, remove and dust with icing sugar to serve.
Tip. Because the centre is chocolate, the fondants can bake quickly — at 20 minutes, insert a skewer near the edge; if the batter doesn’t cling to it, they’re done. To reheat, microwave in a microwave-safe cup for 20 sec (600W) or 30 sec (500W).
