Zojirushi Home Bakery Breadmaker Mini | BB-HAQ10

The Mini is the compact machine in Zojirushi’s Home Bakery range — slim enough to leave out on the worktop, and quick enough to bake a 1 lb loaf in about two hours. Nine menu settings cover the bread you actually make: basic loaves in three textures, French, soft, quick bread, dough, cake and jam.

Add the ingredients in order and press a key — no baking experience required.

Please note before ordering:

  • 220–230V with a UK 3-pin plug — no adapter or voltage converter is needed.

Product Features:

  • Compact and Slim Design — Built to take up as little worktop space as possible — the smallest machine in the Home Bakery range.
  • 9 Menu Settings — Basic bread (Regular and Firm), Soft, Quick bread, French, Dough, Cookie/Pasta dough, Cake and Jam.
  • Quick Baking in About 2 Hours — A rapid cycle that finishes in 2:00, or 1:53 on the light crust setting.
  • 3 Bread Textures — Choose Regular, Firm or Soft to suit how you like your loaf.
  • DOUGH Menu — Stop at the dough stage, take it out and shape it yourself — for pizza, croissants, small buns and more.
  • 1 lb Loaf — A standard household loaf size, sized for one to three people.
  • Simple to Use — Add the ingredients in order and press a key. No baking experience needed.
  • Upper Lid Viewing Window — Watch the loaf develop without opening the lid and losing heat.
  • Nonstick Baking Pan and Blade — Both are nonstick coated, so the loaf releases cleanly and washing up is quick.
  • Durable Carry Handle — Fold it down and lift the machine away for storage between bakes.

All 9 Menu Settings:

  • Bread — Basic Bread (Regular / Firm), Soft, Quick Bread, French
  • Dough — Dough, Cookie / Pasta Dough
  • Other — Cake, Jam

English Control Panel

Every key and display message is in English — BASIC BREAD, REGULAR, FIRM, SOFT, MODE SELECT, CRUST CONTROL, TIMER, QUICK BAKING, FRENCH BREAD, DOUGH SETTING, COOKIE/PASTA DOUGH, CAKE and JAM. The supplied manual and recipe booklet are in English too.

13-Hour Timer

Set the completion time up to 13 hours ahead in 10-minute steps: choose your setting with MODE SELECT, press TIMER to set the time, then press START/RESET.

Two things to know: the timer works on the Basic, Soft and French courses only, and you should not use it with recipes containing milk, juice, vegetables or eggs, as these can spoil while waiting.

Crust Control

Choose Light or Regular crust on the Basic Bread, Quick Baking and Cake settings.

Adding Fruit and Nuts

About 30 minutes after you press start, the machine beeps five times and the ADD indicator flashes — that is your cue to add raisins, nuts or other extras. (Unlike the larger BB-KWQ10, this compact model does not have an automatic dispenser.)

Course Times

Course Time Light crust Timer Crust control
Basic Bread — Regular 3:40 3:30
Basic Bread — Firm 3:30 3:20
Soft 3:00
Quick Baking 2:00 1:53
French Bread 5:00
Dough Setting 1:45
Cookie / Pasta Dough 0:13
Cake 1:45 1:35
Jam 1:20

The DOUGH Setting

Not everything has to come out as a loaf. The DOUGH setting takes care of the kneading and rising, then stops — you lift the dough out, shape it, and bake it in your own oven. Pizza bases, croissants, small buns, whatever you like.

FAQ
Will this work on UK mains electricity?

Yes. It is rated AC 220–230V, 50Hz and is supplied with a 3-pin plug that is compatible and compliant for UK use. No adaptor or voltage converter is needed.

How is this different from the BB-KWQ10?

The BB-HAQ10 is the compact model. It is smaller and lighter (5.7kg against 6.5kg), bakes a loaf in under 2 hours rather than 2.5, and has 9 menu settings instead of 15. Both bake a 1 lb loaf with three selectable textures. Choose this one if worktop space matters more than the extra courses.

Is the control panel in English?

Yes — the control panel, key labels and display are all in English, and the manual and recipe booklet are supplied in English. Nothing to translate.

Does it have a timer?

Yes — you can set baking to finish up to 13 hours ahead, in 10-minute steps. The timer works on the Basic, Soft and French courses only, and should not be used with recipes containing milk, juice, vegetables or eggs, as these can spoil while the ingredients wait.

What can I do with the DOUGH setting?

The machine handles the kneading and rising, then stops so you can take the dough out and shape it yourself — for pizza bases, croissants, small buns and similar. You then bake it in your own oven.

How large a loaf does it bake?

A 1 lb loaf — a standard household size, suited to one to three people.

Do I need any baking experience?

No. Add the ingredients in the order given in the recipe booklet and press a key. A recipe booklet, manual and instruction DVD are supplied.

What is included in the box?

A measuring cup, a measuring spoon, an instruction DVD, the manual and a recipe booklet, plus the nonstick baking pan and kneading blade.
