The SHARP DW-T30FA is a three-in-one machine: a powerful dehumidifier, a True HEPA air purifier and a Plasmacluster ion generator in a single cabinet. Rated at 30L/day (or 18.5L/day under the energy-label standard) and covering rooms up to 77 m², it is built for homes that battle damp through the winter and want cleaner air the rest of the year. Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Vacuum or rinse the washable pre-filter every few weeks — a clogged pre-filter reduces airflow and increases running cost
- Leave the HEPA and activated carbon filters in place; they are rated for up to 10 years and should not be washed
- Empty and rinse the 4.5L water tank regularly to prevent bacterial build-up
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth — do not use harsh chemicals or solvents
- Use the continuous drainage port if the unit will run unattended for long periods
- Keep at least 30cm of clear space around the air intake and outlet
- Store the unit upright in a dry, cool place when not in use
They are the same machine measured under two different test conditions. 30L/day is measured at 30°C and 80% humidity; 18.5L/day is measured at 26.7°C and 60%, which is the energy-label standard and much closer to a typical British room. We list the 18.5L figure in the product name for that reason.
Yes. Air purification runs as an independent mode, so you can filter the air without dehumidifying — useful in summer or during pollen season.
The HEPA and activated carbon filters are rated for up to 10 years of normal household use. The pre-filter is washable and should be vacuumed or rinsed every few weeks.
Yes. The 140° adjustable airflow can be aimed at a drying rack, and the unit captures the evaporated moisture in its tank rather than releasing it into the room.
